As those who follow INanoBio may be aware, the company is being split into two separate businesses. This was a strategic decision to ensure that we maximize the potential of our two breakthrough deep-tech life science platforms, FENT and SPOC.
INanoBio will continue to further develop and commercialize FENT nanopore transistor device for 1000x faster sequencing of DNA and other biopolymers, at 1/10th the cost, to boost genomics research and ultimately point-of-care diagnostics.
The second company "SPOC Proteomics" will commercialize our SPOC protein biosensor platform to democratize kinetic and functional proteomic screening for drug discovery and clinical diagnostics.
This is a unique and special time for team INanoBio. We have raised seed capital, secured multiple federal grants and successfully developed initial prototypes of both platforms, to different extents. Long ways to go and too early to celebrate, but the company split is a big milestone.
How many startup teams can you think of that developed two very complex technologies, in parallel, successfully? So the Champions here are the passionate and hardworking team members and the Investors who took a chance on us!
As an exciting coincidence, both platforms were selected as finalists of two different deeptech startup technology competitions, to be presented back-to-back over the next two weeks.
INanoBio’s FENT technology has been selected as life-science breakthrough finalist to present at the First Look SoCal 2023 Innovation Showcase in Los Angeles on June 14.
First Look SoCal Innovation Showcase is an annual conference celebrating the best early stage startups commercializing deep tech and life science breakthroughs.
SPOC Proteomics has been selected as a finalist to present at CBRN Defense Modernization Challenge at TechConnect conference in Washington DC June 19 - 21.
Our SPOC platform was selected as one of the 6 finalists in the CBRN Defense MCS Sensors category.
